Welcome to
The citizen Diplomat!
Hi there, and welcome!
I’m Rebecca—a former federal employee and international development professional who has always dreamed of being a humanitarian diplomat. But right now, God has called me to a different path. Instead of meeting people’s physical needs through policy and program implementation, He’s leading me to care for spiritual ones.
Here at The Citizen Diplomat, you’ll get a front-row seat to my missionary adventures through a program called Revive Eastern Europe (RevivEE). My mission is to share the good news of Jesus, strengthen the local church, teach English, and serve the community in meaningful ways.
Along the way, I’ll also share stories from my travels, lessons I’m learning, and the ways God is stretching and shaping me through this time. My hope is that as you follow along, you’ll not only see what God is doing in Romania, but also be encouraged in your own walk of faith.
In Him,
Rebecca

February is the coldest and dreariest month of the year in Bucharest—days rarely climb above freezing, the skies are gray, the trees are bare, and the streets are filled with slushy snow. Rooted: Convictions Shaping My Life
Why do you do what you do? This is a question I’ve been sitting with lately as a new year begins and I think about my goals and life direction. Why do I choose certain things? Are my decisions tied to a deeper purpose—or to what I am…
